How to make a 3D printed QR code in 3 steps

    1. 1

      Paste your link

Your restaurant menu, your Google review page, your Instagram, your website or your wifi details. The code is generated instantly.

    2. 2

      Customize the design

Pick the dot style, the colors and an emoji or your logo in the center. Then choose the object —stand, keychain, plaque, coaster, magnet or card— and add your text.

    3. 3

      Download and print

Download the two-color 3MF and open it in your slicer: the base and the QR code come as separate parts with their colors. PNG, SVG and STL are available too.

QR code coasters: advertising right in front of your customers

Always in sight. A coaster stays on the table for the whole visit. It's the perfect spot for your menu, Instagram, loyalty program or review page QR code.

Standard size. With a 55 mm code the coaster is about 10 cm across, like a cardboard one. It has a 3 mm base and your venue's name raised under the code.

Material. If it will get wet, print it in PETG, which handles moisture and a hot mug better than PLA. A coat of varnish or felt underneath finishes it nicely.

Batch production. It's flat, so a dozen fit on the build plate: duplicate the model in your slicer and print them all at once.

    Frequently asked questions

    How big is the coaster?

About 10 cm in diameter with a 55 mm code. Adjust it with the “Code size” slider.

Can it be scanned with a glass on top?

No, the glass covers the code. It works when customers sit down and before they order, which is exactly when they need it.

PLA or PETG for a coaster?

PETG if it will touch cold or hot drinks; PLA is fine for decoration or dry glasses.

Can I add my bar's logo?

Yes. Upload your logo under “QR center” and it prints raised in the middle of the code.
